Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar (born October 11, 1992) professionally known as Cardi B, is an American rapper from New York City. She is known for her outspoken public persona and explicit lyrical style. Cardi B first gained public attention through social media platforms such as Vine and Instagram, as well as through her role as a cast member on the VH1 reality television series "Love & Hip Hop: New York". She released two mixtapes between 2016 and 2017, which helped establish her presence in the hip-hop industry. Her debut studio album, "Invasion of Privacy", was released in 2018 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The album achieved significant commercial success and critical recognition, becoming one of the most successful female rap albums of the 21st century.
