Multi-platinum DJ and production duo Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala, better known as CamelPhat, have enjoyed a meteoric rise to the top of the dance music world since breaking through with global hit ‘Cola’ in 2017. The Grammy and Ivor Novello-nominated pair from Liverpool have continued to evolve their sound, releasing a slew of hits, and becoming one of Beatport’s biggest-selling artists of all time. Their acclaimed and silver-certified debut album ‘Dark Matter’ is packed with high-profile collaborations, including electronic mainstays like Cristoph, Artbat and Ali Love, as well as indie legends Noel Gallagher, Jake Bugg and Yannis Philippakis of Foals and featuring huge hits such as ‘Panic Room’, ‘Breathe’ & ‘Cola’. In just a few years, Josh Butler has firmly established himself as one of house music's most revered talents. Following the unexpected success behind his debut ‘Got A Feeling’ in 2013, Josh soon went on to pick up multiple industry awards from Beatport and DJ Mag, whilst releasing on Roush, Cajual, Madtech, Avotre, VIVa and Noir, to name just a few. Boasting remixes for Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox and Joris Voorn, warming up for the multi-grammy award winning Nile Rodgers and Chic, and EPs on Rejected, Defected, Poker Flat, Kaoz Theory and 8Bit, it’s easy to see why his diary has seen him tour the globe. This includes numerous Ibiza residencies and appearances, festival sets including Glastonbury, SW4, Defected Croatia, Parklife, Secret Garden Party, and multiple European, US and Australian Tours. Late 2016 saw the launch of his label ORIGINS RCRDS, with Josh soon pairing house music veterans Marshall Jefferson, Todd Terry and Robert Owens with up and coming artists to the imprint. His stand out collaboration with Bontan, “Call You Back” scored his second Beatport #1 in early 2017. Since then, ORIGINS RCRDS has gone on to become a staple label to take note of, releasing material from Kerri Chandler, Groove Armada, Richy Ahmed and Huxley, and gaining plaudits from a who’s who of the industry’s leading names, with label showcases from London to Los Angeles. 2018 has been Butler’s most accomplished year to date. Pete Tong introduced him as “one of the UK’s premier house music talents” for his debut on the legendary BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix series, coming in the midst of a diary filled summer and dropping shortly after his One Mix for Apple Music's Beats1 and his highly anticipated Hot Creations debut 'Doesn’t Work'. His Ibiza season proved as strong as any, with appearances on line ups for Do Not Sleep at Amnesia and Solid Grooves at Privilege, before rounding off the season at the infamous DC-10 for Paradise’s 2018 Closing Party. This success was mirrored worldwide with sets at Nocturnal Wonderland, Paradise at Brooklyn Mirage, FNGRS CRSSD and throughout Miami Music Week. Producer, arranger, DJ and musician from Madrid-Spain. He has his own record company “Zen Records”, and release different projects with different names from 1992. Influenced from its childhood by funky, soul, jazz and by electronic music in his adolescence, he knew that his future would be in music. Very versatile, he try to fuse his different influences with new technologies combining old harmonies with new sounds evolving day to day. One of his biggest hits was “The Night train” from Kadoc, who was selling all over the world more than two million copies (singles and compilations), and was number 12 in the UK charts and number 1 in Holland more than 1 month. In those days he played in Denmark, Germany, France, UK, Holland, Miami & Rusia. In 1994 he met DJ Chus who has been working with him since then in several projects, remixes and gigs. Producer under names as Deux, Montilla, Nuboy or Doblado, David Penn has worked also with DJ Chus, Ceballos, Toni Bass, Halo, DJ Jabato, Sebastián Gamboa, Camilo Franco and Olav Basoski. He made remixes for Jay-J, Junior Jack, Chus & Ceballos, Vibe Residents, Milk & Sugar, Dave Storm, Wackside, Lenny Fontana, Ron Hall, Jason Hates Jazz, Cam or The Thief among others. He had released records all over the world in labels as Defected, Black Vinyl, Purple Music, Azuli, Bluem, Maya or Rise. In 2003 starts a new division of Zen Records called Urbana Recordings with a big DJ recognition, releasing new fresh music from his Mediterranean country. His records are played by djs as Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Bob Sinclar, DJ Chus. Nominated as Best Breakthrough Label in House Music Awards (UK) and Deejaymags (Spain) 2005. As a dj he played in the Winter Music Conference in Miami, in Rusia in front of 5000 people, in Japan, Mexico, Poland, Estonia, Bulgary, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Malta, Egypt, Germany, … In 2007 he received 3 Deejaymags (Spanish Deejay magazine) as: -Best House DJ 2006 -Best House production Montilla “From The Stars” -Best Label Urbana Recordings In 2008, he has been awarded with the 2007 Best Club House DJ award in Deejaymags07. At the moment he´s doing a 2 hours radio show every thursday at www.locafm.com (Loca FM Spain) from 22:00 to 00:00 (Europe Time). In his sets, always combines one defined line house with different slopes that go from underground to house more energetic and musical and irresistibly is seduced by classic tracks.
