Defected’s vinyl series continues to commit the label’s biggest digital releases to wax for the first time, and this special twentieth edition has been created in partnership with Shelter, the housing and homeless charity.

In July 2023, Defected and Shelter launched ‘From House To Home’, a campaign using music as a positive force for change; as part of these fundraising activities, £1 from each sale of EP20 will help tackle unfit housing and homelessness.

Opening this exclusive 12” coloured vinyl, Germany’s Jonathan Kaspar and his remix of Breach’s revered deep house anthem, ‘Jack’. Mason Collective collaborate with fellow Mancunian Bipolar Sunshine for ‘People In Love’, a Defected favourite from late 2023, followed by Arielle Free’s eclectic club hit ‘Feels So Good’ which made waves last year. Closing out the vinyl, a generational collaboration between production pioneers Bob Sinclar, A-Trak, and Melé with ‘Deep Inside Of Me’.

Defected Records are proud to give £1 from each EP20 record sold by retailers, to Shelter (charity no. 263710 England and SC002327 Scotland). Last FM Information on Breach

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
More than one artist exists by the name of Breach: 1. A punk band from Sweden. 2. An electronic music producer from Bristol, UK. 3. A Bangladeshi Rock Band 1. Noisy and furious somewhere between the tribal angst-filled sound of NEUROSIS and TORTOISE. Luleå, Sweden 1993: The local punkband Superdong split up. A lot of people couldn't care less. Now we know better. One half of Superdong quickly forms Fireside, and the other half becomes Breach. Luleå turns out to be a perfect place to develop the ultra-raw but still melodic hardcore/ deathrock that has become the signum of Breach, and frankly they got absolutely nothing else to do then put all energy in to the band (not counting suicide or ice-hockey as serious options). Breach appear on a few compilation albums and put out their first MCD "Outlines" on Burning Heart Records. During the spring of 1995 the full length debut "Friction" is recorded at Sunlight Studios in Stockholm, Sweden. Fred Estby of Dismember is engineering and producing together with Breach. Sunlight turns Breach debut album into pure dynamite. When it is released in August 1995 it is definitely one of the heaviest albums released that year. In January and February 1997 their 2nd full length album is recorded. It is titled "It´s Me God" and gets released on Burning Heart Records late April. It´s Me God is recorded, mixed and produced by Pelle Gunnerfeldt. The music takes a small step away from metal and follows the direction started on the EP "Old Songs & New Beats" (1996, Burning Heart Records), with a more laborious sound with a stronger Unsane / Neurosis kind of perspective on their musical existence. It ends up somewhere in the land of The Jesus Lizard, Unsane, Entombed, Neurosis and Shellac. In May 1999, the third album Venom" was released. This time, even more minimalistic and brutal than before. Songs like "Helldrivers", "Murder", "Hell Is My Witness" and "Diablo" are perfect rock'n'roll songs in the twisted world where Breach without doubt is in control. "Venom" is like a spring-depression seen through dark thunder clouds. Kerrang! gave "Venom" 4/5 (KKKK), and wrote "Venom" is an album that lures the listener into the darkest rooms of the mind and then buggers off with the torch". And that's a statement that not only could stand for "Venom", but as a whole for Breach as a band. December third 2001 saw the release for Breach finest moment uptil date, "Kollapse". "Kollapse" is a perfect mix of walloping noise, scary and solemn introvert mayhem that could be the soundtrack to your favorite horror-movie, or the voices in the head for any modern western citizens angst & fear. Soon after the release of "Kollapse", Breach announced the split-up of the band. 2. BrEaCh is the house-focused pseudonym of the Bristol, England multi-instrumentalist Ben Westbeech. He first used this alter ego as a recording name a good six years after his own name graced the landmark opening release for Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label. Summer 2010 and 2011 each saw Breach singles issued on the RAMP Recordings imprint, Pattern. By the time summer 2012 had arrived, he had launched his own Naked Naked label on which he released "You Won't Find Love Again" and "101" before the year was over. February 2013 brought an inventive and moody collaboration with the London-based trio Dark Sky. However, it was the more commercial approach of "Jack" -- released the same year on San Francisco's Dirtybird Records -- which secured Breach a U.K. Top Ten single placing. 3. Having first gained popularity through two singles, "Shada" in Agontuk-2 and "Boshonto" in Isha Khan Durey's Dinbodol, the band finally landed a record deal with G-Series and released their self-titled debut album in 2006. Initially active from 2002-2007, the band came together to release another album, "Rajotto" in 2015. Read more on Last.fm. Last FM Information on Mason Collective

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
Since their inception in 2014, Mason Collective have been drawing attention in the underground music scene for their explosive DJ sets and highly renowned MVSON events. The Manchester based DJ and production trio have been developing their own signature brand of high energy grooves, showcasing them at a number of high profile parties in some of the most respected venues on both the local and national scenes. Omar Guedar, the affirmed host and party animal has the unique vision and creative essence which is the driving force behind the renowned reputation of the sell out MVSON event series. Omar was exposed to live music from an early age through his father’s ownership of renowned Manchester club ‘The Gallery’. Blair Suarez, the business brain and self-confessed grandfather of the trio, brings focus and clarity to The Collective. Taking the lead when it comes to advancing the group, Blair brings an innovative edge to their musical direction and productions. Mase Milo (Adam Myles), modest in demeanour, is the strong but silent component of the group. Coming from a background in fashion, he developed his love for music from his childhood watching his father showcase his ‘Raiders Sound’ reggae sound system. He’s since spent years studying music technology and perfecting his craft. Each of the three members of this DJ and production team adds a distinct edge and sensibility. Omar has an ear for a softer, melodic sound, whereas Blair’s style is more groove driven. Milo has adopted a harder, more driving sound. However, ultimately everything they craft resonates with a frequency that has become the unequivocal Mason set: bouncing, high-energy groove. Set apart by style MVSON parties have captured a die-hard fan base since their inception in 2014 and have continued to sell out to loyal followers each month. With each event boasting a new theme, the MVSON brand brings not only a party but an open clique. Now releasing music across all major labels, Mason Collective stand with dynamism in the industry, and continue to add to their back catalogue of high quality tools and groove driven productions. Following 3 years of sell out MVSON parties in Manchester, the collective are now set to tour the UK. Read more on Last.fm. Last FM Information on Bob Sinclar

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
Bob Sinclar, born in 1969, real name Christophe Le Friant (French pronunciation : kʁistɔf lə fʁijɑ̃), is a French record producer, DJ, remixer and co-owner (with DJ Yellow) of the label Yellow Productions. Sinclar started DJing in 1986, when he was just 18 years old, specializing in funk and hip-hop music, with the name Chris The French Kiss. His first club hit was Gym & Tonic, a track produced by Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, featuring unauthorized vocals taken from a Jane Fonda fitness tape. The Bob Sinclar persona was based on a character from Philippe de Broca's film Le Magnifique. Sinclar is famous for popularizing the "french touch" of house music, with heavy use of sampled and filtered disco strings. His track "Feel For You", a tribute to french musician Cerrone, from his second album Champs Elysées, hit #9 in the UK Top 40. On track "Darlin'", he worked with vocalist James "D-Train" Williams. Sinclar has also worked under other pseudonyms. Under the aliases The Mighty Bop and Reminiscence Quartet, he has dabbled in hip-hop and acid jazz. He also created the Africanism project, where an ensemble of artists produce house music with a combination of latin, jazz, african and tribal flavors. In 2005 he scored a hit with his single "Love Generation", that reached #1 on the Australian ARIA Singles Charts and the German Media Control Single Charts in 2006. The song was a huge success throughout Europe, also peaking at no. 2 in the Dutch Top 40. The followup hit was "World, Hold On", that features Steve Edwards and also managed to chart in the top ten in most of the European countries. "Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)" followed on August 22, 2006. The remix of "World, Hold on" by E-Smoove is nominated for a Grammy 2007 in the category "Remixed Recording". Also, "World Hold on" was chosen by Billboard Magazine as the number one Hot Dance Club Play Single of 2006, beating Madonna and Christina Aguilera. The fourth single of the album 'Western Dream' called 'Tennessee' was supposed to be released in April 2007, but has been cancelled due to the rumour of a new album being released. That album was Soundz of Freedom. It came out in May 2007. His latest album is Born In 69, released 2 years after the last album, May 2009. The first single of the album was LaLa Song, together with Sugarhill Gang Taken from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Sinclar) Read more on Last.fm.
