DESCRIPTION:
1996 Soul R&B Hip Hop LP Repressed - Secrets is the second studio album by American singer Toni Braxton, originally released in 1996. The album marked a pivotal moment in Braxton's career, blending R&B, soul, and pop influences to create a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. Featuring powerhouse tracks like the Grammy-winning "Un-Break My Heart" and the sultry "You're Makin' Me High," Secrets showcases Braxton’s unparalleled vocal prowess and signature emotional storytelling.

The mid-90s r&b gem Secrets by Toni Braxton snared the singer in a strange web of tension between chart predominance and industry drama. It followed a blockbuster debut while contract disputes with LaFace Records brewed behind the scenes, in a dispute as old as time: where goat-hooved, devil-horned execs would dodge royalty payouts on technicality. In that shadow, Braxton brings the force of heartbreak, honing her blend of r&b, pop and adult soul over 'Come On Over Here' and 'There's No Me Without You', where good-girl contralto meets player-melting, glittered beats.
