- NEW RELEASEARTIST:
TITLE:
Forward (2xLP)
LABEL:
CATNO:
4029759222194
FORMAT:
Vinyl record
DESCRIPTION:
First released 2013 but First time on Vinyl !
Forward heard N'Dea Davenport reunite with the Brand New Heavies' core trio, Dawn Joseph sharing vocal efforts beside her. What emerged was a late-career highlight and noted leaning back into the band's love of smooth late-70s and early-80s sounds, returning sonically to the period that lent them the popular credit of redefining British and acid jazz. Overjoyed in sound, its main leanings are KC-style disco, flecked with downtempo pop and jazz; and 13 years later, this Ear Music reissue marks its first ever vinyl re-press.
