This is the tenth instalment of the vinyl only PIV Limited series, where we focus on the deeper side of house music so we don’t lose touch with the lovely world of the underground.
Amsterdam's PIV continue their vinyl-only Limited series with a four-tracker that leans into the deeper, more understated end of house. 'Island People' sets the tone with hazy pads and a buoyant bassline that locks into the groove without fuss, while 'Let's Go Back' layers clipped vocal cuts over skipping drums for a classic late-night roll. On the flip, 'Bye Bye' shifts the energy with a more stripped-down, dubby pulse - a slow-burner that opens out in fine style - before 'Don't Think So' closes with swung percussion and moody chords, the kind of track built for the heads who stay locked in until the lights come up. True to the PIV Limited ethos, these cuts keep the focus squarely on hypnotic, underground house - functional yet warm, with enough personality to linger well past the club.
