5 Track EP OF Vocal Hooked Tech & Funky House -Ever since the release of his masterpiece Winona it’s hard to imagine modern electronic dance music without DJ BORING. A progressive traditionalist DJ BORING finds new ways in old maps. Just like Beautiful Strangers. The lead single to his correspondent debut EP for Running Back illustrates his kaleidoscopic sound aesthetic and refreshing style. Harking back to the aural palette of BORING’s formative years in the early 2000s it manages to bridge infatuation and lovesickness wistfulness and bliss as well sundowns and sunrises dance floors and living rooms – and that is no mean feat.
DJ Boring makes his bow on Running Back with a suitably vibrant, colourful and atmospheric collection of mood-enhancing club cuts. He begins with a dash of synth-laden, synth-pop flavoured kaleidoscopic house - the rushing 'Beautiful Strangers'- before opting for a breezy, sun-soaked sound on the similarly attractive 'Can't Fix a Broken Heart' (though the track certainly does a good job of trying to). Jasper Tygner makes his present felt on opioid deep two-step workout 'When I'm With You', while 'False Attraction' is a brilliant blend of bilious pads, off-kilter house percussion and locked-in bass. Closing cut 'Memories Fade',

Last FM Information on DJ Boring
Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
DJ Boring is the moniker of an Australian-born, London-based house producer who achieved viral success (and a degree of infamy) with his 2016 track "Winona." Characterized by its atmospheric synth pads, slightly jarring bass swoops, and most of all, a poignant sample of Winona Ryder recalling a casting director telling her she wasn't attractive enough to be an actress, the track was uploaded to YouTube in late September of that year, and quickly racked up hundreds of thousands of views. It probably didn't hurt that the Ryder-starring sci-fi/horror series Stranger Things had just become a major pop culture phenomenon that summer. All of a sudden, several journalists questioned the intentions of this unheard-of producer, as well as other ironically named, '90s-loving artists such as Ross from Friends and DJ Seinfeld, and lumped them together as part of a "lo-fi house" craze. Despite its detractors, the song gained an enthusiastic following, and was released on vinyl by E-Beamz at the close of the year. In 2017, Boring toured across the globe and released Sunday Avenue (LPH White) and Different Dates (Lost Palms). Read more on Last.fm.
