DESCRIPTION:
4 Tracks Of Balearic, Leftfield & Nu-disco - As ever, the Belfast duo come out swinging ! - Tailor-made for raucous dancefloors, a 4-way of extensions and amendments from their private stash !

Belfast-based duo Aaron Black and Timmy Stewart aka Black Bones' latest EP is a lovely treat full of stylistically varied takes on post-punk-influenced dance. Across six tracks, the duo blends elements of dub, acid, and industrial textures into soot-black sounds for strobe lovers. From the driving chug of opener 'Poisoned' with its snapping hits and frazzled synth interjections, via the percussive clatter and more aquatic dub undercarriage of 'Barundi' this is expressive, eccentric music. After the more distorted edges of 'GGGG Get Busy' comes the 80s style swaggering indie-disco jaunt of 'Bashung' with its soft peppering of toms and blend of sleazy guitars and more cosmic lead lines.

Black Bones is a punk rock band from Italy that reformed in 2005 from the ashes of AJ Blood's previous band The Bloodline. They then released their first album – “Prophecies of Apocalypse”. In 2008, the band changed their style drastically, keeping the punk and rock'n'roll roots but mixing them with folk and metal, and wrote a whole new album called "Pirates of the Coast", a concept album, that tells the stories of pirates and their fight for eternal freedom and pride. After two and a half years of touring with the pirate-inspired show, the band decided to work on a new record, but things just went wrong and the band broke up. In 2014 the band met for one last farewell concert, which was literally sold out. The band reformed in 2016. Read more on Last.fm.
