Deep House, Synth Crossover & Uk Garage LP Pressed on Gold/ Red Ink Spot Vinyl
Barry Can’t Swim’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. Following the success of his debut album 'When Will We Land?', Barry has continued to solidify himself as one of the most exciting names in electronic music today and his new album 'Loner' further cements that.
Barry Can't Swim's latest LP Loner has enjoyed a lengthy release campaign, this being the latest edition: a Coke bottle clear white vinyl LP edition. Written during a year of near-constant touring, the Edinburgh-born producer pulls here from an ostensible life led on the road twinned with a not-so-secret double life also spent looking inward. First single 'Different' is already a live-show-floor-fixture of live shows, with a titular appeal to loneliness by way of being thought as "other": an emotional, club-tuned house depressurising valve, and a good, energetic preemptor of what's still to come. Loner was "the most authentic expression I could offer of myself and my life over the past year," in Barry's own words.
