DESCRIPTION:
Black Vinyl - 2015 Synth Pop / Indie Pop LP. 19-year-old singer Aurora Aksnes aka Aurora releases her debut album, the well titled All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend. It's the culmination of a remarkable 12 months for the prodigal Norwegian artist, who recently earned a place on the John Lewis festive advert. Featuring 12 songs, Aurora's debut album is a real mark in the sand for the Scandinavian songwriter. Icy, electronic beats are juxtaposed with Aurora's soaring, captivating vocal delivery which fully confirm that the hype already behind her is completely justified. The creative process has been evolving for Aurora since the tender age of thirteen; Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tolkien, Enya and all things fantastical have and continue to shape and inform her compositions. Mix in a love of the natural world and the resulting tracks simmer with a unique rendering of dramatic imagery, mood and emotion. For fans of Kate Bush, Emiliana Torrini and Lykke Li.
