DESCRIPTION:
Pumpin Euro Trance/ Prog / Techno - We are beyond excited to release new remixes of an absolute classic tune by none other than Aural Float, the legendary collaboration between Pascal FEOS, Gabriel Le Mar and Alex Azary.

Originally released on their debut album „Introspectives“ on the mighty Elektrolux records back in 1995, „South Of The Clouds Pt.2“ quickly became the standout track of the longplayer and an absoute fan favorite as it encapsuled the very essence of the no nonsense hypnotic sound of Frankfurt at the time. On the A-Side, label head honcho Gregor Tresher presents an epic 11-minute journey that pays homage to the timeless original while updating it for the modern day dancefloor. Through layers and layers of subtle percussion lines, Gregor´s remix builds up over time, with bold breakdowns that gives the distinctive melody line time to breathe, only to eventually culminate in bringing the massive beat back to take things to the next sonic level. On the flip, our good friends Extrawelt deliver another outstanding production once again, that has their signature sound written all over it. The boys respectfully incorporate the original melody line, while perfecting their remix by adding their unmistakeable trademark sound and sophisticated beat structures. Aural Float, we salute you and are forever grateful for this seminal piece of music, that easily stood the test of time and will continue to do so for generations to come.

Last FM Information on Aural Float

AURAL FLOAT was formed as an ambient project in the early ’90s. Aural Float members are: Gabriel Le Mar, Alex Azary and Pascal FEOS, who share a passion for music, computer graphics, science fiction and art in general. Since this time the pioneers of ambient worked on shaping the history of chillout and lounge and have been successful with their multimedia concepts. Today, Aural Float is looking back on three albums and remixes for artists such as Paul van Dyk, A-ha, Xavier Naidoo, Anne Clark and Juli. With their contributions to tv formats such as SpaceNight and Flowmotion Aural Float have left a remarkable impression in the chillout scene in the last years. Their new DVD ‘Moving Images’ includes selected Aural Float tracks and videos. The tracks are interpreted anew in an exciting way by well-known video artists, based on high quality film material. The DVD has been produced and published in cooperation with corbis motion, one of the most repected image and film agencies for digital media. Five years after the last album Freefloat and 10 years after the first album Introspectives, Aural Float strikes new paths with their album Beautiful Someday, particularly with the increased use of vocals by Kim Sanders, Nada Nadia Vagioka and Catenia Quentin. Aural Float, in an almost playful easiness, present the way from the experimental search of the beginning to a clearly structured high-end version of sensual cutting-edge Pop Music, finding emotions in melodies. Nevertheless, the system always stays open enough to allow a winking cross reference to their impressionistic Ambient Trance. In 1996, Aural Float took over the creative direction of the german cult tv-series SPACENIGHT broadcasted on station BR and associated CD/DVD compilations series as well. As a prototype of a holistic TV concept with spectacular images and visionary sound spheres, it received international attention. The concept of this groundbreaking project was to combine original NASA/ESA film- and video- and documentary footage from outer space with music made on earth. Until today, “SPACENIGHT” is a synonym for chillout and with it`s futuristic visuals soon reached cult status among the young night watchers. Four years later Elektrolux pitched an “ambient television” idea to German tv-broadcaster HR,that was produced as a program called FLOWMOTION (from 2000-2006), a music series of DJ/VJ mixes. Another outstanding platform for avantegarde video artists and chillout producers was created by the Aural Float masterminds: “FLOWMOTION” on the German ‘hessen fernsehen’ tv channel. They have received many plaudits for bringing the realms of video and sound closer together to put DJ and VJ mixes on mainstream television. https://www.le-mar.de/projects/aural-float/ Album-Releases 1996 Introspektion CD/LP 2001 Freefloat CD/LP 2005 Beautiful Someday CD 2007 Moving Images DVD Read more on Last.fm.
