2 Vocal Trance Classics Together on 1 x12" - Monster - Andain, the project from Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden, doesn’t need any introduction and neither do the 2 tracks featured on this Vinyl Classics release. Their first 2 singles are brought together on black wax originally dating from 2002 / 2003, so 20 years later they’re reunited on vinyl. The A-side contains the Airwave Club Mix from “Summer Calling” while the B-side is blessed with Josh Gabriel’s view on “Summer Calling” and the much-wanted “Beautiful Things”.
Cast your mind back if you will to the sweet and simple times of 2002, when trance ruled the world (like it does again now). Andain, riding high on a wave of optimism, crafted the perfect paean to the encroaching longer days and balmy nights, and a million loved up dancers had the time of their lives reaching hands aloft and soaking up the positivity. Andain was a San Francisco-based electronica duo, originally formed in 2000. Their style incorporates a blend of acoustic elements and electronic sound design, integrating tender and dark melodies with emotive lyrics. Band members initially included producer Josh Gabriel, singer and songwriter Mavie Marcos, and guitarist David Penner, before the group disbanded in 2006. Andain was later reformed as Mavie and Josh in 2011, releasing a much anticipated debut album the following year, on September 12, 2012.
