Sheffield trio Adelphi Music Factory provide a knowing, 21st century take on the Steel City's rich and diverse dancefloor heritage, frequently delivering excitable, energy-packed and sub-heavy takes on house full of audible nods to the group's South Yorkshire predecessors. Above all else, though, they make big, bold party music - as this surprise outing on Footjob proves. They begin with a slab of boogie classic-sampling heavyweight house funkiness ('Feel Alright'), before reaching for bolder bass, swirly effects and jazzy house piano solos on the chunky and rolling 'Sneaking Out The Back'. They take us further towards classic, loop-fired French Touch territory on 'You & Me', while 'The Weekend' joins the dots between Dave Lee style revivalist disco and a more organic take on disco-house.
