DESCRIPTION:
Uplifting Gospel house.
Even though they Josh Milan and Louie Vega frequently join forces to do remixes as 2 Soul Fusion, singles from the pair under that alias are relatively rare. They are, though, always excellent, as this fine single featuring Detroit vocal trio Dames Brown and long-serving diva Dawn Tallman proves. 'Shout' sees the legendary twosome channel the spirit of gospel on a hybrid soulful house/disco-house workout rich in uplifting vocals, jaunty piano motifs and thickset grooves. It's a celebratory delight, basically - the kind of cut that should have a similar positive effect on dancefloors as the Sophie Lloyd/Dames Lloyd jam 'Calling Out'. On side B, Milan and Vega deliver their 'Gospel Beats' version - a bona-fide deep house stomper rich in layered handclaps, heavy kick-drums and the dreamiest of synth chords
