Wackside is one of Germany´s most successful house music producers and remixers of the last years.
Wackside consists of Benjamin Hart, Hubee Held and Michael Rödiger.
Hart and Held produced tracks for Logic Records as the Cord Boys and gained dance charts fame with "I Can´t Take It" and "Rockin´ Myself" on Epic´s dance imprint Epidrome. Michael Rödiger is responsible for countless clubhits from the last ten years. His biggest success was "Let There Be House" with early 90s HipHouser Deskee.
Michael Rödiger joined Hart & Held in 1997 to form Wackside. Since then they remixed acts like Yello, Robbie Riviera, Ann Nesby, Sweet female Attitude, Spike, Jam & Spoon or Spiller. Their own work includes the massive club hits "Turtle Funk" (Mixes by Dlugosch & Lange and Junior Sanchez), "I´ll Get Over You" (Mixes by Pete Heller and Ian Pooley) and "What´s On Your Mind" with mixes from Tom Novy and Milk´n´Sugar. Wackside added their talents to produce tracks for Lamont Humphreys ("Fucking Nerve") and Emel ("Free"-Album). They have also produced an as yet unreleased full album called "Doggy Bag". Their latest release is a rework of Shakatak´s classic "Down On The Street" which has been picked as title track for german television´s RTL 2 show "II Club".
In March 2000 they created a new independent platform for their work: Brickhouse Records, distributed by Peppermint Jam Distributions. Brickhouse Records features a lot of uplifting housemusic anthems by Wackside or promising new acts. One of the hottest Brickhouse tracks has is "Touch Me" by Sharon Phillips who has produced some more excellent tracks with Wackside. Expect more from her in the future. Also out on Brickhouse are the Ben Hart E.P., Kenny Blake´s cover of Steve Arrington´s "Feel So Real" featuring Wanda G. and the upcoming "Say your Prayers" by Sebastian Krieg and Tyree Cooper.
Wackside and Brickhouse Records are strongly involved in the Frankfurt club scene. Hubee Held is resident at U60311, one of germany´s leading clubs. The Brickhouse parties features world-wide top DJ´s like Knee Deep, Soulfuric´s Brian Tappert, Paolo Martini (Bini & Martini) or ATFC (Defected). They are regular guests on "House club hottest", a well responded house music mix show on Frankfurt´s dance station Planet Radio.
Benjamin Hart, Hubee Held and Michael Rödiger can combine technical knowledge with a strong musical feeling and a versatile background. Take their own productions, a remix or just a DJ-set --Wackside deliver quality in every way. And they actually have fun with that.
