Releases by transformer

There are 2 bands with the name Transformer. 1) Transformer are a four-piece electro disco outfit from Brighton, UK, formed in 2005 by Johny Giles and Craig Mack. The current lineup is Giles, Mack, Ben Adamo, and Stephane Hourdille. The band list Talking Heads, Parliament, Larry Levan, Serge Gainsbourg, and A Certain Ratio as some of their top influences, and reviewers have compared the band to LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip. Their first single "Cinema Car" was released on 16 March, 2009 by Public Eye, produced by Cagedbaby and including remixes by Tenth Dan from The Qemists and Riskotheque. In 2008, Transformer was shortlisted in the Live & Unsigned category of the Vodafone Live Music Awards and featured in the new E4-commissioned sitcom, "The Inbetweeners." The band are currently working on their first album with Fujiya & Miyagi producer Julian Tardo. 2) Transformer is a band formed by ex-Disco Inferno bassist Paul Wilmott, whose only recorded material to have been released so far is a cover of Wire's "Outdoor Miner" on the 1996 album "Whore: A Tribute to Wire." Wilmott went on to be a member of Lisp. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
