Releases by slayyyter

Slayyyter (born Catherine Grace Garner on September 17, 1996, in Kirkwood, Missouri) is an American singer and songwriter known for her blend of pop, hyperpop, and Y2K-inspired aesthetics. She studied for one year at the University of Missouri before dropping out to pursue music full-time, a decision she later described as an “expensive experiment” that left her with student debt. She began releasing lo-fi, ’80s-inspired tracks on SoundCloud under the name “Slater” before rebranding as Slayyyter in 2018, debuting with the single BFF in collaboration with Ayesha Erotica. In February 2019, she released Mine, a snippet of which went viral on social media, quickly reaching #38 on the U.S. iTunes pop charts within 24 hours. That summer, she embarked on her first headlining shows under The Mini Tour, selling out dates from New York City to her hometown of St. Louis. In September 2019, she independently released her self-titled mixtape Slayyyter, which reached #4 on the U.S. iTunes Pop chart and #14 on the overall albums chart. Her unapologetic, internet-born pop persona quickly gained her a devoted online fanbase. Slayyyter’s debut studio album, Troubled Paradise, was released in June 2021 via Fader Label. The record, featuring collaborations with producers such as Wuki and Gupi, received generally positive reviews, with critics noting its more mature production and songwriting compared to her mixtape. Tracks like Daddy AF gained further exposure after being featured in the soundtracks of films like Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) and Anora (2024). In September 2023, she released her second studio album, Starfucker, a satirical, glamorous, ’80s-inspired pop record exploring themes of vanity, celebrity culture, and Hollywood excess. The album debuted at #17 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, later peaking at #10, and was praised by critics for its bold, campy style. She supported the album with her Club Valentine Tour, which spanned the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Ireland from October 2023 to February 2024. In February 2024, she made her first appearance on Boiler Room, performing in a luxury-inspired look and debuting the single Miss Belladonna. In September 2024, Slayyyter released the single No Comma, and in mid-2025 she collaborated with Kesha on the single Attention. The pair toured together on the Tits Out Tour, where Slayyyter became known for her pre-show ritual of drinking ginger shots to stay sober and protect her voice. On August 1, 2025, she signed with Columbia Records and released Beat Up Chanel$, the lead single from her upcoming third studio album, which she has stated is in its final stages of production.
