However, the core of the lineup, which has since become Helsinki-based, hides a lot of what we have lived and experienced together - a burning desire to make music. The joint musical history of Markus Ala-Kauhaluoma (guitar) and Osku Ketola (vocals, violin) began in their youth and has continued until today. Once the flame is lit, it is not easily extinguished. The other members of the band also found their way to the band from the same fire: Ville Siuruainen (drums), Arttu Volanto (guitar) and Jami Pohjoismäki (bass). The recordings of the debut album of the band started in the beginning of 2008. The collaboration with the Universal Music record company began during the same year. The first single Kannan sua got its baptism of fire on the radio waves in March. --- 2) PALAVA formed in late 2016 as a 4 piece from Manchester boasting original songs spanning across the Indie, Hard and Modern Rock scene with the occasional heavenly tune thrown in for good measure. From starting his music journey at the young age of 13 coming from a Nigerian heritage, he has taken inspiration from artists such as J HUS, Wizkid, Mostack, Skepta, Burna Boy, Oxlade, Andé 3000 and many others.
