Releases by novox
There are at least four groups called Novox.
1) Novox, the Athens based project is formed by Lostra and Thodoris Triantafillou in 2003. Both of them have been djing for many years, the last eight of which also find them involved in music production. They joined their forces for Novox, a project that combines their different musical influences. Lostra and Thodoris are two creative counter poles, one likes it strictly minimal, the other more playful. The sound of Novox varies from minimal to maximal house and techno.
2) Novox based in Houston, TX, formed in 1991. With an 11 track CD called "Negative Silence".
Members are:
1 . James Reyna on synth programing, keyboards, sequencing, and sampling. Wrote tracks 1,2,4, and 6-11.
2. David Forbus on synth programing, additional keyboards, and mixing. Wrote tracks 3 & 5.
3) Dutch progband CLIFFHANGER split up in May 2001. Later that year, keyboardplayer Dick Heijboer started an instrumental project called NOVOX. Since the project needed some more instruments than keyboard, he asked Gijs Koopman and Hans Boonk to join him, and suggested bringing some of their own music as well. This worked very well, and after a few months guitarists Mark Vermeule and Rinie Huigen joined the project as well. Work has been progressing steadily since then, working with even more people along the line. And then, there it is: in January 2005, the CD NOVOX - "NoVoX" has been released by Musea Records.
4) French funk/acid jazz band Novox, formed in 2003 in Lyon, France.
