Releases by moto
There are multiple artists/groups with the name MOTO:
1. Moto - A space rock band
2. M.O.T.O. - Punk band from New Orlean
3. moto - A female singer from Japan
4. Jazz band based around Bob Gatzen & Gene Bozzi
1. Moto was founded in spring 2001. Some day Pawel came to me (Konrad), whom I played some time ago in Chlopiec Dwuglowy. He asked me if could we play together again. Our first rehearsals begun within few days in first Virus near the Shipyard. We - only two of us then - played long, space rock like improvisations on guitars and ancient Philicorda. Then, at home, we modified recorded tracks on computers, we added phat beats. On one of rehearsals Marcin appeared (whom Pawel played with in Kfaza). After a week Mysza from Lotyn have been seated on drums. The band begun to appear in its form, we begun to play rhytmically and full of space. We played one concert. After some time Mysza - the drummer - was replaced by Lider from the Pstro band, and Pawel (who could not yet play on guitar) was replaced by Tomek (again ex Kfaza) on keyboard. Five people, two singing guitarists, keyboard player, bassist, drummer, sampler, it was beggining to fit all together. This was the Moto sound. Electro - motorics, pulse, noisy guitars and something more. After nearly a year from the beginnings of the band Lider was replaced by Jarek (again ex Kfaza), who plays everyday in Pogodno. All the rest is the future.
2. M.O.T.O. (Masters of the Obvious) is a punk band that was formed in New Orleans in 1981. The band later relocated to Chicago, IL. There have been many lineup changes through the years, but M.O.T.O. has always been headed up by Paul Caporino. M.O.T.O. is known for "hooky pop songwriting, precise eighth-note riffage, and so-dumb-they're-brilliant lyrics," exemplified by songs such as "I Hate My Fucking Job" and "Dance Dance Dance Dance Dance to the Radio."
