Micah is a name used by several musical projects.
In just a few short years Micah Lukasewich has built his name and sound on a solid sense of melody and rhythm that is well known throughout the progressive dance world. Producing since 1997, Micah pushes his boundaries with each new production/remix, and they are plentiful with at least one or two original tracks or remixes released per month within the year 2005 alone!. Micah's Music has appeared on such labels as: Fade,Silverplanet, Method, Acting out, Propulsion and More!, with new originals coming out on labels such as Aurium and Baroque with remixes slated for the prestigious Lost Language.
Best known for his soulful and deep bootleg remix of "Bent - As You Fall" which was promptly picked up by EQ records for release on Chris Fortiers Balance 007 Mix compilation, Micah has now become a sought after re-mixer and dj with many International tours and gigs planned for the new year.
No matter what you find Micah working on, you will be able to detect hints of sincerity and emotion. With a strong drive to innovate his sound and move his listeners, Micah plans to make his passionate presence felt the world over.
Arguably the best Micah was a USA prog/pysch rock band from the early 1970s.
They made a great organ/guitar progrock album “I'm Only One Man” with sidelong tracks and some interesting passages. The sound is a bit Santana-influenced, but mainly one for local progressive rock fans. Plague organist, juicy blotches of jazz guitar and a very strong melody in a minor key tonality, a decent singer who does not pull the blanket over himself, and gives the other musicians their turn to the instrumental parties - all this cannot leave the lover of progressive rock indifferent.
The album also has a very tasty Latin flavour, which gives it additional charm.
Unfortunately, this New York team left us with only one album and as so often happens with good American groups who are not commercial, broke up.
“I'm Only One Man” was released in very limited number of coppies. Rumors say that only 1000-2000 copies were issued.
The second side of LP is unfinished and is 11'29" long. The band members felt the album could have been better if they had had more time to track the music and use their own equipment - some of the musicians were using studio equipment rather than their own instruments.
Members:
George Wolff (Percussion, Vocals) Gary Ohlson (Organ, Vocals) Bob Rowe(Lead Vocals) Marty Horne(Lead Guitar) Gus Hernandez(Bass)
Micah is also an Australian Christian Rock band based on the South Coast of New South Wales. Memebrs have included Gordon Frencham (Guitar/Vocals), John Hayton (Keys/Vocals), Mike Wright (Drums), Sandro Schietroma (Lead Guitar) & Dave Schipp (Bass/Vocals) whom left the band shortly after their debut album "Living Water" was realeased. He was replaced by Scott Deakes (ex-nevertheless) on bass and vocals. Since 'Living Water' both Sandro and Scott have moved onto other projects.
