1)Mauve takes shape one day of May 2005 in Verbania (Italy). After a short talk inside the local library's garden, Carlo (guitar, voice) and Elda (drums, samples) bring it to life. After the winter, Alberto (guitar, glockenspiel) joins the band that grows up very fast. Their sound begins to have a double side, like Doctor Jekyll and Mr.Hyde story: instrumental music, noisy and evocative on one side; melancholic indie-rock songs with love lyrics on the other. In August 2006 Mauve record their first four-track EP called "Sweet noise on the sofa" .
2)The Brazilian Mauve released the album "Enjoying the Death" which was recorded in 1994, but released only in 2007 by Wave Records The album is a nice blend of new wave, synthpop and gothic

4) Mauve has been working on their instrumental repertoire since february 2006. Many ideas arise from jams and improvisation and from these experiments Mauve creates wonderful popsongs in a style that’s not easy to describe. They make use of post-rock, lounge, electronica and blues elements. With their music, Mauve is melancholic, profound and experimental at the same time. Ever since Mauve started to be Mauve it consists of Sebastiaan (keyboard), Mathijs (guitar) and Lukas (drums). At the end of 2006 Mauve has, in cooperation with John Zielman, recorded their first EP/demo in Studio 8, which was released a few weeks later. As a result of this release Mauve played several shows in and around Amersfoort and Utrecht. Mauve is currently working on some songs for their forthcoming EP/CD which will, hopefully, be recorded February this year.
