Marusha was born in Nuremberg. She began her career as a radio disc jockey in 1991 with the weekly program "Dancehall" on the Berlin station DT64. After the station ceased operations, she moved to another Berlin broadcaster, Fritz, where she hosted the weekly show "Rave Satellite" until 2007. In the same year, she served as a jury member on the German version of "Popstars". Between 1993 and 1996, she presented the television dance music program "Feuerreiter" for the regional broadcaster ORB; the show was later broadcast nationwide through ARD. She is referenced in Scooter’s 1994 song "Hyper Hyper", in which lead vocalist H. P. Baxxter names various disc jockeys.
