Formed in 1988 the name M-D-Emm was derived from a combination of the original line-up's names - Mark Ryder, Dave Lee & Emmanuel Cheal. However, the group split during 89-90. Mark however continued the project on his own. From 1991 all marks m-d-emm material was released through his label Strictly Underground .
