1.
Kavana, born Anthony Kavanagh on November 4, 1977, in Moston, Manchester, England, emerged onto the music scene in the summer of 1996. Known for his energetic performances, he gained prominence through various roadshows and a tour with Boyzone. His career spanned four years, marked by numerous chart-topping hits and worldwide success with songs such as "I Can Make You Feel Good," "MFEO," "Will You Wait For Me," and "Thank You."
In an effort to evolve his sound, Kavana traveled to the USA to collaborate with renowned producers. However, a family crisis compelled him to return to the UK for a year. Upon his return to the States, he teamed up with music producer and writer Ansible Deliria, resulting in some of his most remarkable recordings. He spent a year showcasing these songs in small venues across LA, garnering attention along Hollywood Boulevard.
In 2006, these songs were refined and copyrighted. During this time, Kavana ventured into acting, securing a role as "Will" in the show "Hollyoaks in the City." Following the show's filming, he participated in "An Audience With Take That" and seized an opportunity to join Jools Holland's tour after reconnecting with Lulu. His performances during the tour were well-received, culminating in a successful Christmas show in Birmingham.
Having returned to Manchester for a well-deserved Christmas break in 2006, Kavana looked ahead to an eventful 2007. Engaged in discussions with record labels and managements, the year held promise for Kavana and his newly penned music. His first public appearance in 2007 was in January's "ATTITUDE" magazine, offering an intriguing insight into his ventures. Updates and previews of his work were made available on his official web page, including snippets from his "Hollyoaks in the City" debut.
He showcased his talent further by participating as a contestant on "Grease Is the Word" on April 7, 2007. Kavana progressed to boot camp where he was paired with Alison Crawford. Their performances impressed the judges, securing them a spot in the finals. Despite Crawford's elimination, Kavana emerged as the runner-up in the competition on June 9th.
