There are at least four bands called Gloss.
1) Gloss, stylized as GLOSS, is a three member bi-racial, bi-lingual girl group under FRESH AND KILLA from BCDMG. The members are Lil Domi, Kemy Doll and SAKURA.
They made their debut with their first single (Big Mad) on April 11, 2018.
2) Gloss were a Liverpool-based indie-pop band that released one album in 2001.
The group's multi-national line-up included Paul Cavanagh (guitar), Martin Lynch (bass), Paul Maguire (drums), Jonas Theis (keyboards) and Heidrun Anna (vocals). They wrote and recorded songs that are timeless pop - rich in melody and drawn from influences such as The Beach Boys, Burt Bacharach, Television, Stereolab, Barry White, Carole King, Blondie, Françoise Hardy, Air and Madonna.
The nucleus of the band were Cavanagh and the alluring Heidrun Anna. She was the band's lyricist and melody arranger, and together they combined forces to weave these elements into song form. The pair met in Liverpool in 1998 where Heidrun had studied at the Liverpool Institute Of The Performing Arts (LIPA). She became involved in the city's close knit music scene and inevitably the two began to work together. Via Paul came Martin Lynch and Paul Maguire (former drummer with Liverpool faves The Stairs) - whilst Jonas Theis, a classically trained pianist, completed the line-up having originally known Heidrun at LIPA where he too was studying.
On the strength of a three song demo, Gloss were signed to Nude Records. They released two singles in the UK - "Lonely In Paris" and "New York Boy" - but their album was only commercially released in Japan, as Nude folded in January 2002 before the planned UK release date.

4) Gloss began in 2012 as the project of Jeff Cornell, Sean Neppl, and Jackson Woolsey. Growing up together in suburban Minnesota, these longtime friends gravitated towards Sean’s parents’ basement, fleshing out early tracks that would later become part of the their first EP, Between Themselves.
Gloss have moved forward by looking backwards, adding Emmy Carter on synths and Josh Olson on drums. Digging deeper into their influences has recast the band as post-punk vanguards and goth classicists, without shedding their gauzier tendencies.
Contrast is found between and within Gloss songs. Guitars and keyboards occupy both crystalline and murky textures. Drums range from open and floating to tight and driving. Vocal duties are shared between Cornell and Woolsey, who both move between commanding and restful deliveries. The division of labor within their songs lends to Gloss’ cohesion.
Diversifying their subject matter has allowed Gloss to further challenge their songwriting abilities. While still retaining the emotional yearning of their early efforts, Gloss has been able to shed light on other affairs: Modern day urban renewal, historical erasure, and economic insecurity.
