Gitte Haenning (Born: 29. June 1946) is a Danish singer. She had her first hit as 8-year-old with the song Marry daddy, where she sang a duet with her father, bandleader Otto Haenning. Since it was a shoal of pophits in the light genre, and Gitte fertilized soil to a large and sustained careers in topartist GermanyWithout forgetting its audience in Denmark, where she still has many fans.
Gitte Haenning has recorded discs in Danish, Swedish, Finnish, English, German and Dutch.
More recently, she has appeared all over Germany with the Swedish singer Siw Malmkvist and Norwegian singer Wenche Myhre which all together has gained great triumphs in the German market for many years. In 2006 has published a 4-double CD with tracks from early Gittes 1958--1965 at EMI "The Great Popbox" and on the German market often send her a new record out.
Participated as an actor because of her vocal talents in more than 10 Danish feature films (including He, she, Dirch and Dario from 1962) and a variety of TV productions, especially in Germany.
