EYC (also tagged as E.Y.C) is an abbreviation of the phrase Express Yourself Clearly, and the name of a US boyband which formed in 1990. The band consisted of Damon Butler, Trey Parker (now a member of The Most Valuable Players and formerly Joe's Band, and Dave Loeffler. The band released their first album, Express Yourself Clearly in 1993 in the US before exploding in popularity in the UK and Europe and releasing the album to Europe and the rest of the world in 1994. At the 1994 Smash Hits Pollwinners Party, the band were voted the best new act and best roadshow act, and they also picked up an Australian Grammy. In the Summer of 1994, they toured Australia with female rappers Salt N Peppa and later that year performed at Miss Teen USA. They released a remix album in Asia in 1995 called "EYC Ya! The Express Mixes", and the same year supported Irish Boyband Boyzone on their UK tour. Their second album was also released in 1995 but with less commercial success. "Put It On" bombed, and the band appeared to have lost their way and dissappeared from the public eye until they recorded a Dr. Pepper commercial in 1996 after which they faded away again. They returned in 1999 with their third and final album "I Feel It", a US only release, followed by a national tour and appearances on Nickelodeon and supporting another US Boyband whose success was already far greater, The Backstreet Boys. The album still did not recapture the success of the first and they again dissappeared from the public eye and eventually disbanded. Read more on Last.fm.
