Derrick Crumpley is a german musician born in Queens, New York. Moved to Germany in 1984 with his mother who was in military service. Deskee toured as a DJ at clubs in Germany until he was picked up by the owners of Boys Records store in Frankfurt, getting him in touch with producers WestBam and Klaus Jankuhn, which scored him two #1 hits on the Billboard Dance chart in 1990.
