AFRODEEP (Antoine Bertola/Fred Walter)
Antoine Bertola is the talented artist and founder behind the crews DON'T BOGART, AFRODEEP and LONGBRIDGE along with DJ/Producers Jeremy Robin, Franck Orosco, Fred Walter, and Julien Mazars.
In 1999, they signed to Spacecraft Records based in Bordeaux, France and released dozens of LP's.
AfroDeep's sound quickly started to gain attention due to special brand of "Progressive -tribal-hypnotic" House music.Many of the crew's releases have been played by such internationals DJs and producers as Funk D'Void, Slam, Tony Thomas and Hippie'n Halo. During this time, Antoine also released several tracks as a solo artist and remixed the famous "Waiting" by recording artist SHEILA CHANDRA.
In 1993 during a trip to San Francisco, Fred Walter discovered House Music and nothing was ever the same for him. As soon as he returned back to his hometown Bordeaux, France; he dove into the local House music scene and began collaborating with artists such as David Walters (Fantomas Rec.). Fred was soon asked to spin at such clubs as "Le chat bleu" and"Fait d'hiver" with DJ resident Franck Orosco.
Since then, his "tribal-club house" style has been played in many places and parties : the "Paris-Pekin", "Ventilo Bar", "Le Kitsch", "Le Nautilius", "Ad Libitum", "Shaolin", "Red Dj Tour", "ElectroGaia" in Spain. He has also spun with interationally known DJs like Gene Farris, Cajmere, Jack, Dj Rush, Claude Young, Terry Lee Brown Jr, Jef.K and Marshall Jefferson.
In 1999, he met Antoine Bertola aka Don'tBogart, and they founded AFRO DEEP with its progressive-tribal-tek-House sound.They released approximatly 12 LP's wich have been played internationally, and appeared on such famous compilations as "Fabric London" mixed by Funk D'Void, Slam, Tony Thomas, Hippie'n Halo.
Living currently in Bordeaux, Fred occupies most of his time between his familly, job and of course his productions with AFRO DEEP
