ABOUT BO: Belgrade singer/song-writer Bojana Bulatovic Bo (vocalist, guitar, harmonica) combines her self-made acoustic approach based on the path of Patti Smith, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, with contemporary electronic dance rhythm on her debut album "Mene treba ovaj grad, bas ovakvu kakva sam sad" (2003, Mojo Beat, Serbia), ( I Am Needed in This City Just the Way I Am Now".) This unexpected fusion was Koja’s (Disciplin A Kitschme) idea, who participated on the album as the arranger, producer, author of loops, guitar solo parts, and CD cover designer. Other guests on the album were Manja (Disciplin A Kitschme) - backing vocals, Banana (Elektricni orgazam) -harmonica, Kele (ex-Disciplina Kicme) - drums, Anton (Partibrejkers) - backing vocals, Zerkman (ex-Disciplina Kicme, Zerkman Big Bang Trio) - trumpet, Željko Nikolic (Roze Poze) - guitar and many others. The album has been superbly accepted both from the media and public, on concerts and solo performances held throughout the country and region, (Bo-vocalist, CD Ministar - loops, with occasional appearance of Crni Zub (on mix and guitar) and supporting Partibrejkers. With second CD release KAPETANE GDE SI / WHAT'S UP CAPTAIN (2008, "Odlican hrcak" label), Bojana offers ten new songs to the Serbian and regional music scenes. Lyrics and music stand out again, differing from local musical landscape but also from Bojana's debut album. WHAT'S UP CAPTAIN was recorded in summer of 2007 at the RTS Records studio (while the outside temperature was peaking at +47C!). Band members, aside from Bojana (vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica), include Rade Vulic on drums and Sasa Furunovic on acoustic guitar (both of whom are members of "Popecitelji" band). As with the previous album, Koja ("Disciplin A Kitschme") took on a role of a music arranger/producer, while special guests included Banana ("Elektricni orgazam"), Anton ("Partibrejkers") and Manja Djordjevic ("Disciplin A Kitschme"). While the first CD release was mostly based on a blend of acoustic guitar and electronic loops, WHAT'S UP CAPTAIN shifts sound wise to a simplified expression, promoting "band-playing-live" concept within an unusual setting of two acoustic guitars and a drum set. Bo Trivia: Appearance in the movie "Kako je propao rokenrol"(1989, Avala film,SFRJ), in “Novim Doživljajima Zelenog Zuba”- (The New Adventures Of the Green Tooth)- in the scene where passengers quarrel with the ticket controller. Bo is also the author of the songs, music and lyrics for children’s live show which was broadcasted during 1990-1991 on NTV Studio B (part of the material was recorded as Bojana "Grad Kolaca"(Bojana - "Cake City") - Zvono Records,1991.) She has also acted and written songs in amateur theatre DES (Drama Experimental Studio) at Novi Beograd. Bojana is the sister of Goran Bulatovic-Manza, who was the drummer and one of the founders of the band Partibrejkers. The two of them together mark 1980 as the year when they conquered Cincinnati, USA. More Bo Trivia: It took her just one try to obtain the driving license. She rides a bicycle. Excellent streetball player. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
