G. Markus returns with two fresh edits after his first G-Edits release sold out and enjoyed heavy support from all sorts of discjockeys. '70s soul / disco is the flavour here, beefed up for the big rigs and with a legendary diva getting some tasty treatment. First up, "Missin'" sees looped 'n' filtered disco loops phazed into oblivion before man like Danvers adds extra weight through some electric live bass. The hooks are beyond infectious and this is one of those subtle little burners that'll suck you in and spit you out t'other end without you feeling a thing. A pure, clean hit of mainlined disco-house high grade. On the flip "Daze" takes a classy jazz-funk hook and pulls piano licks out of the mix that I've never heard before. Again, added bass pressure from Danvers thickens out the mix while Markus skillfully pieces together the drums and percussion elements wonderfully. Top stuff this, not too showy and sounding super hot on the wax. Nice!
