Lyon-dwelling deep house producer Ethyene was undoubtedly one of the stars of 2017, delivering a string of hazy, dusty and saucer-eyed singles for the likes of Kolour Ltd and Moonrise Hill Material. Here he surfaces on Editorial with a fine selection of smoldering deep house-tinted disco reworks. He begins with the lolloping, loved-up sweetness of "Rains Over Occident", where glistening jazz guitar solos and warm chords recline over a laidback house groove, before charging towards disco dancefloors via the '80s soul-meets-jazz-funk shuffle of "Walkin' In The Sunshine". On the flip he turns a smooth modern soul love jam into an exquisite chunk of jazzy deep house ("Free To Give") and showcases his love of Rhodes-heavy broken beat on closer "Solitary Sex"
