DAWID SZCZESNY - UNHEARD TREATS

Dawid Szczęsny performed in Poland, Germany (in 2005 invited by Kata Adamek and Bernd Adamek-Schyma as a resident of "Kolekcja Polska" club in Leipzig (http://www.kolekcja-polska.de)), South Africa (attendee of Red Bull Music Academy in 2003) and Latvia (Pantuss Underground series of events in 2003). Together with Dawid Bargenda he performed as a support act to September Collective (Barbara Morgenstern, Paul Wirkus, Stefan Schneider) tour in Poland. He currently collaborates with Sofie Loizou (Sydney) and Ignaz Schick (Berlin). In November 2005 he worked for Radio Copernicus in Berlin (12-19.11.2005). After splitting with Supralinear offshoot label of Mille Plateaux Dawid Szczesny decided to release a re-edition of his first LP "Unheard Treats" which was never before availbale in Poland. Re-edition, released in newly formed record label Qulturap / See You Soon will be pressed in limited amount of 200 copies. Decision of releasing the material was made because of its unavailability on Polish music market. Artist stated this is going to be the last re-edition and repressing of the album. Unheard Treats was recorded at the end of 2003 using a laptop and a turntable setup. The album is very personal, it was created in 2 months and all tracks are based on samples sourced from old records found in South Africa.
