Villanova's music has broad appeal. Their "Make Noise" album showcases this southern quartet's unique sound of rock, funk, jams, hip-hop and soulful delivery. The band's 2009 booked schedule stretches across multiple states. They are an exciting live concert experience. Venues like Harper's Ferry in Boston would be blessed by their capabilities, as have so many great rock clubs in the states of GA, NC,SC and Virginia already have been. Villanova is Brian Conner, lead singer/songwriter and guitarist; Bobby Dredd on bass; Jeremy Robertson on drums; and DJ Able One on keyboard and turntable. Brian's smooth singing style is memorable and effective at stamping the band's brand identify. He has perfected a playing style where the influences of Hendrix and Brian Eno's sophistication seeps through. Bassist Bobby Dredd's Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten inspired sound seems like the perfect blend for Conner's velvet vocals. Their artistry is richly complimented by the showmanship and technical capabilities of Jeremy Roberson on the drum kit and DJ Able One's presence and imaginative library of smart includes, textures, and turntable control. The foursome receives ceremonial-like embraces from fans they've played before. They've left a positive impression on media writers. This quality band is destined for wider successes.. Villanova's self-released 2007 album titled "Make Noise" has 11 tracks (twelve when including the acoustic and electric version of the song "Memory") and is distributed by the iTunes music store, CDBaby, Manifest Disc and Tapes and Sounds Familiar. - W3 Media Boston,MA www.movef.com Read more on Last.fm.
